2023 Volkswagen ID.4 GTX – Volkswagen is constantly working hard to create a vehicle capable of delivering performance and driving pleasure that doesn’t just have to be tied to an internal combustion engine. The Volkswagen ID.4 GTX 2023 has reportedly been revealed and earlier this year, Volkswagen demonstrated the concept of a VW ID.X, essentially an electric hot hatch from the company that popularized the hot hatch genre with the 2023 VW Golf GTI. At first, it didn’t seem like VW would put the New Volkswagen ID.X 2023 into production but it seems the German brand has changed its mind and we couldn’t be happier.

The latest generation Volkswagen ID.4 GTX is a high-performance vehicle in the all-electric SUV lineup. Named the 2023 VW ID.4 GTX for all future performance-focused EVs from the German automaker. Think of it as the equivalent of the GTI and its relation to the standard Golf hatchback.
Specific details about the 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 GTX remain locked until its debut, but sources claim we can expect a sportier styling through a more aggressive bumper, unique wheels, and a lower ride height. For better performance, there will be a dual motor arrangement, one on each axle. All-wheel drive should be standard and the total output will be around 300 horsepower.

Volkswagen has confirmed that the concept will go into production after this year and will most likely be badged as the 2023 Volkswagen ID.3 GTX. This will make it the second member of the GTX family. The new hatch must be driven by an all-wheel drive system. Powertrain specifications weren’t shared, though it’s likely a Volkswagen ID.4 GTX setup will be used. In the final car, there are two electric motors that produce 295 horsepower, enabling a 0-60 mph time of 6.2 seconds.

That much power in a smaller Volkswagen ID.3 GTX 2023-sized hatchback should result in a car with excellent acceleration. The New VW ID.X concept alone produces 328 horsepower and can hit 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, so we expect the production version to be somewhere between that and the 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 GTX in terms of performance. An R-badged model too. hinted, and while Brandstatter admits that the emphasis on performance will reduce the range, he does say that a range of New VW ID.3 GTX 2023 batteries will be offered for the new electric hot hatch.
